addendum to previous misfortune

(REALITY IS JUST LIKE TEEN TV):

Candy: So, Sally told me that you're watching Gossip Girl.
Aja: um.
(Sally has been looking over my shoulder! which is fine. it is just hilarious that sally does not actually talk to ME about my watching gossip girl, but instead goes to Candy to talk to her about talking to me about watching gossip girl.)
Aja: yes! i just finished Season One.
Candy: omg I just finished Season One last night.
Aja: me too!
Candy: it's addictive.
Aja: well, I read the books earlier this summer, so.
Candy: oh, i haven't read them yet.
Aja: I can lend them to you, if you like? It is addictive. Like True Blood.
Candy: oh, you watch True Blood?
Aja: I love True Blood. This is me not dissing your taste in trashy vampire series.
Candy: Ooh.
Aja: Oh, and I actually brought this in for you. *hands her Eternal Kiss*
Candy: what's this?
Aja: well. a vampire anthology. of short stories.
Candy: oh. Oh! OMG MELISSA DE LA CRUZ!
Candy: *runs over to Sally*
Sally: what's this?
Candy: Aja brought it in.
Sally: oh! Can I borrow it at lunch today? I'm just finishing up the third Luxe novel, this will be perfect. Oh my god it has Rachel Caine? Can I borrow this?
Candy: ask Aja!
Sally: *looks at Aja with renewed respect*

SO IT LOOKS LIKE I'M BACK IN THE TEEN LIT BOOK CLUB. THANKS, BLAIR WALDORF.
