5 Cloud Atlas, David Mitchell
6 The Satanic Verses, Salman Rushdie
7 The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho
8 War and Peace Leo Tolstoy

A Teletext survey of 4,000 Britons found that almost half of the books they bought remained unfinished.

My short list?

1) One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Amazing book. Amazing. I have no idea why I never finished it.
2) The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky. I SUCK I KNOW THIS IS STILL #1 ON MY TO-READ LIST.
3) Lol....ita by Vladimir....nabakovrighti'mjustgoingtoslinkawayoverherenow.
4) Ulysses, THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD, I would have finished it but now i have NO MOTIVATION, GUYS. While meming I got to page 80 / 800. GO ME! TEN PERCENT! GO GO 10%GO!
5) His Dark Materials okay okay I got 2/3 of the way through the final book that practically counts as finishing alright.

Well, I feel totally ashamed now.
Tell me what the best books are you've never finished and make me feel better.
